Traditional Midsummer celebrations

You are welcome to join us for this year's Midsummer celebrations at the Camp.

14.00 The Midsummer celebration begins and we dress the Midsummer pole together
15.40 The rings of the pole are carried in parade from Söderhamnen
16.00 (approx.) Pole raising, dancing with Waxholms Folkdansgille and ring games

Bring a picnic basket and a blanket to sit on. Learn more about Midsummer traditions here.

TIP! Since Vaxholm is an island and parking spaces are therefore limited, we recommend that you travel here by bus or boat. Both Waxholmsbolaget and SL boats dock at the harbor. Bus 670 to Vaxholm departs from the University of Technology. The nearest bus stop is Vaxholm Church. Read more about getting to Vaxholm and find parking information here.
