Archipelago-
Boat Day 2026

On June 3, we welcome summer with Archipelago Boat Day. The classic old steamboats depart in procession from Strömkajen in Stockholm for the 63rd year in a row and are met in Vaxholm by a market, music, and a public festival.

The festivities are organized in collaboration with the Archipelago Travelers' Association. You can also purchase tickets for the boats from them.

Watch the procession from the water on M/S Långvik

By bus to Vaxholm

Are you visiting Skärgårdsbåten Day but can’t get a seat on any of the boats? In that case, we recommend taking bus 670, which runs several times an hour.

Please keep in mind that Vaxholm is a small island and that parking spaces are therefore limited—especially on June 3, when many spaces are reserved for the market. We recommend that you park your car at one of the park-and-ride lots and take bus 670 into town.
