Practical information for you as an exhibitor for Vaxholm Christmas Market, December 7-8, 2024

We are really looking forward to welcoming you on Saturday and/or Sunday! Here is some important information that we ask you to read in full before we meet.

Find your location

You have previously been notified of your allocated space by email. If you are unsure of your location, please contact julmarknad@destinationvaxholm.com

Below you will find a current map of the exhibitor locations. Please note that the map may be updated compared to the sketch you initially received. Your place will be marked with a number when you arrive.

Please note that the invoice we sent you for your place must be paid and registered with us by December 3. The registration is binding. We are not able to make any changes to the booking until the Christmas market.

If you rent a table from us, you are welcome from 8.45 on Saturday and 9.00 on Sunday.

If you have your own table or tent, you are welcome from 8.00 on Saturday and 9.00 on Sunday. If for some reason you want to come with your own table / tent already on Friday evening, you are welcome to contact Camilla on 070-666 62 25.

You can drive onto Rådhusgatan, around Rådhustorget and also down Norrhamnsgatan. No street is closed. There are many people coming at the same time, so thank you for standing so that you do not stand in the way of anyone else when unloading.

Time for setting up and unpacking

Important information on opening hours

The market is open from 11.00 to 16.00 on both days.
As an exhibitor, you undertake to have the site ready by 10.45 at the latest, that there are products and that the stand is manned until the market closes for the day at 16.00. For us, it is a matter of quality to keep the opening hours we have communicated.

Over the years, there have been exhibitors who have brought too few products and therefore sold out during the market day. We therefore ask you to bring enough things with you to avoid the risk of this happening.

If you bring too few products so that you are forced to close or for other reasons choose to pack up before 16.00 on the booked day, we will charge a fee of SEK 500 + VAT.

Decoration of the site

You are responsible for decorating your place, preferably with candles, spruce branches and other Christmas items. We will decorate public areas of the market with bales of straw, spruce twigs and kerosene lanterns. The tables rented from us include a string of lights and also jute fabric if desired.

Electricity is provided for those who have ordered it. Bring your own extension cords so that you can connect. The area of the market is relatively large, so there may be a need to run the cord a number of meters, so please provide different lengths of cords. Please note that you are not allowed to bring your own fan heaters. This can easily cause overloading and disrupt the entire market.

During the market days, Torggatan between Trädgårdsgatan and Rådhustorget is reserved for exhibitors' cars. You can also park in Tullhusgränd (behind Waxholms Hotell) and in the gravel parking lot in front of the Red House (hotel annex) at Lotsgatan 3. In case these parking lots are occupied, you can find more parking lots here. Please note that the closest parking for longer periods is at Vaxholm church.

Thank you in advance for not double parking. We have a shared responsibility to ensure that emergency vehicles and others in need can access all streets.

Parking for exhibitors

Christmas market program

We will play Christmas music in the market area. In addition to the market stalls, there is also an activity area for children and young people in Norrhamnen. The activity area is open from 12.00 - 15.00 Saturday and Sunday. Santa will arrive by boat to Norrhamnen at 13.00 and then sit on the Town Hall steps until 14.30, both days. On Sunday we have a jester on site at 12.00 - 13.00 and 14.30 - 15.30.

Toilets, waste and garbage

Toilets are located in the Town Hall. You take care of your waste and any garbage yourself. We will have some larger bins set up. If your waste does not fit in there, you need to take it with you and dispose of it elsewhere.

Hosts in yellow vests

We will have a number of hosts in yellow vests from Destination Vaxholm. The task of the hosts is to guide visitors and answer their questions.
