Bathing areas

Vaxholm

Vaxholm's most central baths can be found in Norrhamnen. Here you swim with a view of the old fishing harbor, Hembygdsgården and the boat traffic in Vaxholm's northern inlet and just a stone's throw from shops and restaurants.

Vaxholm

A smaller rock pool where you swim with a bathing ladder from the jetty. Best in the afternoon and evening sun. As the water is deep, it is not suitable for non-swimmers.

Vaxholm

Small child-friendly sandy beach in Söderläge about 15 minutes walk from the center of Vaxholm. Sit on the beach or in the shade of the apple trees on the slope next to it.

Vaxholm, Eriksö

Eriksöbadet offers a child-friendly sandy beach with access to rocks, a jetty and toilet. Next to the beach is Waxholms Camping with a kiosk. There is also a jogging track and Skypark with obstacle courses at different heights between the trees.

Tenö, Bogesund

At Tenö outdoor area in Bogesund you can swim from both the sandy beach and the rocks, or lay out your blanket on the grass next to it if you prefer. There are beautiful walking paths and barbecue areas around the area. If you don't want to bring your own picnic, there is a restaurant Bryggan på Tenö is right next door.

Arches Sound

Take the path that goes in to the right from the parking lot, just before Karlsudd and you will arrive at Fridhemsbadet. A shallow, child-friendly sandy beach. Bring a packed lunch or grill at the prepared barbecue area.

Rindö

Grönviken is a simple bath with a small beach, jetty, barbecue and toilet. The bath is located on southern Rindö. Rindö is reached by free car ferry from Vaxön.

Tynningö

At the small lake Myrholmsmaren on Tynningö there is a beach with jetties and toilets.

Kullön

In the calm bay at Kullö Nature Reserve, the water is often slightly warmer. Here you can swim from the rocks. Bring your own picnic or barbecue at the prepared barbecue areas.

Resarö, Överby

Family-friendly bathing area with sandy beach, jetty and changing cabins.
