Bogesund nature reserve offers a wealth of nature to explore. If you want to cycle through the beautiful countryside, we above all recommend the Askrikerundan trail. The route marked in red is 5.5 km and takes you through easy terrain in coniferous forest and alongside the water. If you come by car, it’s best to park at Ellboda. If you instead cycle from Vaxholm, first cross the Pålsundsbron Bridge, then take the blue-marked route Blå Leden to the car park at Karlsudd, where you turn down towards Fridhemsbadet. From there, you cycle alongside the water for about 2 km to Högbacka, where you will join the Askrikerundan trail.
